Chantal originally trained in Theatre and Performance at the University of Leeds, before completing her PGCE. She worked as a SENCo in a mainstream primary school for multiple years before moving to specialist and opening two Speech and Language sites for Pinderfields Hospital PRU. Chantal is passionate about breaking down barriers to learning and takes pride in creating a safe, nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued and supported. She believes in helping young people build confidence both academically and personally. Outside of school, Chantal enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as keeping active through Zumba, bringing energy and positivity to her work. |

Vicki Kimbley - Teacher
Vicki is a teacher at The Spinney. Throughout her time in education she showed interest in teaching children, first studying Nursery Nursing and then studding a teaching degree at Leeds Met University. Vicki spent 15 years working in a variety of settings in mainstream bringing positivity and creativity to her teaching before becoming a SENDCO at a Private Day Nursery, identifying and supporting all children's needs from babies to preschool.
Recently, Vicki has developed an interest in specialist education moving to the Spinney as it opened. She is thoroughly enjoying her time there, building a positive relationship with every child in order to support their holistic development.
In the future Vicki is looking forward to developing a greater range of strategies enabling her to teach a range of children with SEN to reach their full potential. This includes teaching opportunities outdoors, as this is one of her passions, she is not afraid to make a mess in order to provide fantastic sensory experiences linked to learning.
Out of school Vicki enjoys spending time with her partner and her little boy, exploring new cities and new countries.
