Lisa Iliffe, Teacher, Online Safety Lead and DSL
With nearly 30 years of dedicated service in education, Lisa has cultivated a rich and diverse career spanning roles as a Class Teaching Assistant, Special Needs Teaching Assistant, and Classroom Teacher. Her profoundly student-centered approach ensures that every young person in her care receives meaningful and tailored education. Lisa firmly believes that life experiences—both positive and challenging—shape how a child interacts with the world. By focusing on root causes rather than just surface behaviors, she establishes the safe, secure foundation children need to thrive.
Lisa ensures our schools remain at the cutting edge of digital learning while remaining fiercely vigilant against online risks. As our across-site Lead Teacher for Internet Safety, she is dedicated to maintaining a secure, supportive digital ecosystem for both pupils and staff.
She is responsible for our Filtering & Monitoring. Implementing robust protections across all 8 sites to shield our community from harmful online elements while actively identifying potential safeguarding indicators.
She leads the innovative, safe, and ethical integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within our classrooms.
She currently serves as an active member of the INEQE National Editorial Panel, providing external expert oversight for the development of national online safety and safeguarding resources (including the Safer Schools App).
Lisa also represents our school in the 'Online Safety SEND Project 26/27' in partnership with eduthing. This forward-thinking project explores practical, inclusive ways to strengthen online safety specifically for SEND pupils, ensuring our pastoral, teaching, and safeguarding frameworks respond effectively to how they navigate digital spaces.
